I thought the Bears played a nice game. Both defense and offense. Defense still needs to improve in the secondary. Passhrush was nice, but Colts Oline is shit so we need to take that with a grain of salt.
One thing this team needs to do, is to start generating turnovers. The onces we have had so far has been because of miss communication between opponent QB and WR. We need to get fumbles and ints going soon!
Sure Jeffery was wide open but I dont really blame him for the lose, he played far above my expectations. Playcalling in redzone, penalties and bad secondary play killed us,
The TO thing has been a problem for awhile, part of that is a lack of a consistent pass rush, part of that is that none of these DB's are ball hawks right now, most don't even look back for the ball.
It's why many think that Fuller should be moved to S, he has shown some ball hawking ability, but only when he's facing the QB, not while in coverage. The team needs to get some guys that can actually cover, AND also locate the ball before it's in the WR's hands. They also need to get a better group of pass rushers. Young showed that he can do it, but 2 of our other rushers are hurt, Houston/McPhee, that's going to create problems.

I mentioned this in another thread. It's an absolute no-brainer in my mind to move Fuller to FS this offseason.

Belliot: "I don't have the time or desire to rewatch this pathetic team. I'm finding it hard to stomach an entire Bear's game. I've resorted to watching them on NFL Redzone on my phone as I'm doing other work. This team sucks."
paytonisgod "Totally understand how you feel. I'm certainly not enjoying this season. If I have time, and tolerance for pain permitting..."
I agree..
I mentioned in another thread that when I just can't stand to watch the game anymore that listening to the radio broadcast to get Joniak and Thayers' thoughts makes watching the game more palatable. It works for me, maybe it will work for you.
I can watch the games b/c I love football, but I have no love or anger; this is the most uninteresting, unlikeable Bear team I can remember.
It reminds me of watching some of the Bears teams in the late 60s and early 70s. Even when Papa Bear was still coaching (after '63) the team was pretty bad, and it got even worse when Dooley and later Gibron coached. It was hard on fans, but we watched some of the players that we liked and survived the losses. This year is like that for me. I focus on watching the young players to see if they look good. I've actually enjoyed part of that. Seeing the youngsters coming along gives me hope for future seasons.
