The only reason the Browns would want Cutler is b/c they have a bad front office. They just tried to get a vet starting QB to solve their issues, gave him a decent contract, now you're going to bring in another vet? I don't think they'll look to do it again, they can use their 2 firsts to get a qb and a pass rusher, and then use the next 2 picks in the 2nd to continue to build. And there ya have it, bob's your uncle; they've gotten better if they can hit in the draft and they didn't need to trade one away for a not a franchise qb.
This trade is only good for the Bears. I don't think you'd get a 2nd for Cutler.
+1 I agree a 2nd round pick for Jay is probably not going to happen.

Get a third for him and bundle that with the high pick we'll have and we can get a top rated qb in '17. Better than waiting out the season and cutting him. Plus, the Browns can inject some excitement and drama into their season.

I would agree that if the Bears get an offer of a 3rd they should take. I see Cutler being cut next off-season anyway so might as well try to get some value for him. It is not not like we are SB bound.
So a goin nowhere team is gonna trade for a so-so QB ( who has a 'great arm' and is really good at throwing 'jump balls' to Alshon Jeffery ? ) . Hahahahahahah - even they aren't that stupid .
their 2nd is the best we can dream for him. That'll be basically a late 1st. You can't compare it to the Vikes. They were desperate to Win. The Browns can tank after their start to the season.
I would gladly take a 3rd for Cutler.
Guys, he's not worth much. He's 33, due $18m, and has no "potential ceiling" left. The Bears are going to release him anyway before next season so I would take ANYTHING I can get for him.
If there's any team with aspirations to do big things , but has a shaky QB situation , it's the Cardinals . That's the 1 team I think might take a gamble on Cutty .

Really Cutty is like a low end Palmer, but asking him to sit back and hold the ball and then just chuck it deep is in fact what Cutler wants to do, so there is at least that.

The Bears need to package something with Jay to get a team to take him. Maybe look through the old janitor's closet at Halas Hall and see if there's an old vacuum cleaner or something.
