HJQ and Adrian Amos get into it on the sidelines following Colts TD pass on 4th and one. HJQ covered his man but Amos was nowhere to be found and his man was left wide open for an easy score. Pitch and catch.
The pre-snap confusion about coverage reminded me of the Chinese Fire Drills we saw under Mel Tucker. That a 7 point stop if you make it so call an f'n timeout if you have to but don't keep screwing up like this.
These are the kinds of repetitive mistakes these guys make week after week after week and part of this is on the defensive captain who needs to make sure everyone know the defensive call and has their assignments.
So...does this mean that HJQ and AA are cancers? They should both be traded right?
Nope. It means Amos was pulled out of position by a man in motion and he failed to identify the second TE lined up to the right of the formation who was his coverage responsibility in that defense.
HJQ followed his guy out to the flat but no one picked up the second TE. It was one more mistake in a pile of them we seem to make each week and it negated a really good stop Callahan made on 3rd down.
JABF attributed mistakes to having too many rookies but in this case it wasn't a rookie who blew his coverage assignment and I guess we can assume that's what the sideline blow up was over.
My reason for posting it was simply to point out why Indy scored so easily and that it wasn't due to rookie error.

I know, I was being snarky. Remember, other guys got traded for going after other players verbally in the locker-room.

These guys are different though. They get in one anothers faces right out on the field where everyone can see it. LOL Fox likes these guys. He only trades those he doesn't like personally.
As long as none of these guy are caught saying they like to grab hot women by their pu$$y he'll probably overlook the little stuff.

Maybe they should run for president. Hell, if that is the bar, I qualify myself!

Well it's a little late for it but if you can get on the ballot you have my vote.
I prefer your particular brand of perversion to that others guys.

I just see a team with a lot of new and young players. We are also starting a lot of backup players. I do believe this has an impact upon a team's performance. This is just my 2-cents worth.

We suffered through the Lovie Dovie Country Club, now it seems we have the Johnny the Fox Night Club. Talent sits on the bench until forced to play due to injury. What's changed? Fox is well known for spending training camp in the bars down in Bourbonnais. Is it his drinking buddies that get on the field? Has he benched anybody for stupid penalties/plays?
Regarding the so-called unraveling on the bench, it was just a frustrated reaction to a bad play. They'll be fine, but I would expect a few more spectacles this year when we keep losing.
