I can't vote hell no because he did beat out Hoyer once before for a few starts so.....
LOL, let's hope a 1st round pick like Manziel could beat out an undrafted journeyman like Hoyer. Hoyer's only claim to fame was being signed as an UDFA by Belichick and being Tom Brady's backup for 3 seasons with the Patriots. He's in his 8th season in the NFL, which will probably be more than Johnny Football the golden boy.

If dude could go out to say the CFL for a season to right his ship he MIGHT gain traction with me. I still think he's too small and will get crunched RGIII style even if he solves his other problems.

I just don't believe he is an NFL quality QB. I posted this multiple times on the other messageboard pre-draft, when some Bears seemed to think this guy was going to be a great quarterback in the NFL. I just never saw the NFL-level talent in him.
There are always college QB's that have good, or even great, college careers but simply don't have the physical and mental tools to be a solid NFL QB. I'm not talking about his off-the-field woes (although that should have been a red flag to the Cleveland Browns who drafted him). I always thought he'd be a bust in the NFL.
Manziel is just another failed college QB in the NFL. Why on earth would any Bears fan want, yet another, failed QB on the roster? Haven't we had our fill of them by now?
