IMO Croatia has played a very high skill game throughout the World Cup (maybe with the exception of the match against Denmark). I was really afraid of how they would fare against the countries that typically play a really physical game (England, Germany, Italy, France, etc). I was amazed at how well they played against England.
Iono bout dat....
Croatia seemed to get their fair share of ref calls. I saw a few questionable no-calls but hey, It is not my game so what do I know. My last name is St.Aubin which btw is in the Northern Normandy region as well as the Burgundy region in France soooooooooooooo.
Viva la France!!!!!
Cannot hope for France to win, it'd feel like rooting for Green Bay.
England - unfortunately - was outplayed. Croatia dominated this match-up - especially in the 2nd half and they controlled the game in almost every meaningful statistical measurement putting together 22 shots on goal to England's 11. I was hoping for an England vs France final, but Croatia is going to put together a better match. Go France.
Why France?
Zinedine Zidane provided a spark for my futbol interest when I first watched the World Cup in 2006. His headbutt to the chest of Marco Materazzi of Italy punctuated a memorable WC for me. France as a whole then is the WC team that inspired a passion in futbol for me. Now I watch it regularly and I like the game more than any other large team sport - including Football - but growing up in the US puts an unrivaled passion for football in my heart. It's weird but I watch futbol and realize it's the more enjoyable sport but then I watch football and feel so emotional about the game.
Any who, I want France to win. I think it's because they sparked an interest in the game for me but to be honest it's just because that's how I feel at the moment. Sometimes midway through a game I'll feel compelled to cheer for the other team. I have no allegiances in futbol.
In all seriousness well played to Croatia. We really lacked a player like Modric that can just take control of the game in midfield - once you started pressing our back three we stopped being able to develop the ball and resorted to repeatedly kicking away possession. Overall though this was the first time in quite a few world cups where I didn't think that England (a) didn't care (b) weren't trying and (c) were technically inferior - so I wasn't too unhappy.
Will be a good final. Croatia are good - but France are much better defensively than England and Mbappe is a force to be reckoned with.

tbh my biggest concern is fatigue, we played a whole game more than France + day less for recovery. Hope they can pull it off once more, but if not, im so proud of our boys, they did their best

I feel the same. Every time I see a Zidane jersey I get that same feeling in my throat. I do have a hard time with the constant diving, you see the players fall as soon as they feel anything on them. But you really have to respect the conditioning these players have. My God the running they do.

You are right there man. England did have the easy way in to the final four. As for Croatia, they had a constant uphill battle. They deserve this shot.

Nothing compared to the South American teams. Remember Diego Maradona?
