Expect: The Bears to make noticeable improvement as the season moves along
Yes, the first three games were a disaster. The Bears’ 45 points rank 30th in the NFL, ahead of only the Texans and Titans. And they are dead last in scoring differential through three games at minus-38. But now the hope is that so many young players who are cutting their teeth to gain NFL experience will begin settling in and making bigger contributions. In two years as GM, Pace has a dozen of his draft picks on the current 53-man roster and there has to be a priority on developing those players as soon as possible. That means a more extended look at guys like Howard, defensive end Jonathan Bullard, linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, cornerback Deiondre’ Hall and safety Deon Bush. It means developing Cody Whitehair to become a long-term answer at center. It means top-10 picks Leonard Floyd and Kevin White showing obvious signs that they indeed have game-changing talents. All of that will be a slow and time-consuming process. And it’s certain to test the patience of veterans who despise the sharp sting of growing pains, especially when they’re accompanied by a pile of losses.
Still, John Fox and his staff pride themselves on their ability to elevate young talent. And now is the time for that strength to show itself. It’s hard to believe the Bears will remain as sloppy and stagnant as they’ve been in the season’s first month. These are not – we don’t think – the 0-16 Lions of 2008, or even the 4-12 crews of Wannstedt’s last two years in 1997 and ‘98. So some sort of breakthrough – and likely a win or two – seem imminent in the weeks ahead.

All parts are worthy of discussion:(my comments in red)
Expect: Running back Jeremy Langford to miss significant time with his high right ankle sprain
OK. Doesn't affect me one way or the others...injuries happen. What concerns me moving forward is now Howard is the featured back, Is he ready?
Don’t expect: Jordan Howard to suddenly become LaDainian Tomlinson
See above comment.
Expect: The Bears to make noticeable improvement as the season moves along
Agree. Giving the youngsters time now should pay dividends later. Hopefully they pan out.
Don’t expect: A dramatic turnaround
Expect, no. Hopeful...yes. 8-8 after this start would be fantastic. Possible?.......maybe.
Expect: The defensive struggles to persist
If they do, that is a problem. Defensive minded head coach with a DC rumored to want a HC spot himself...these guys should be doing better. I need to see scheming to get blitzers free. Wasn't that the advantage of going to a 34 DEF? Rushers coming from all angles right? Free blitzers right? Well where are they?
Don’t expect: A lull in effort
True. Unless Fox loses the team.
Expect: Plenty of confusion about the possibilities of Jay Cutler’s return from a sprained right thumb
True. I'm expecting Hoyer to post great fantasy football stats but the record not to reflect it. That means plenty of Hoyer>Cutler threads. Of course prior to this Cutler was hammered on his QB record. If its true that Cutler won't be here next season, there is no reason to risk an injury and have to pay out an injury settlement. IR him for the rest of the season or trade him when some other team gets an injury.
Don’t expect: The Bears to solve their quarterback issues in 2016

I warned Dan Weiderer when I sent him those edibles.......just one Dan, only one....not all ten at once. That causes massive hallucinations and flights of fantasy.
Hey, don't kill the messenger... I just post it. Not saying I agree with it :-)

LOL. By chance did you mistakenly send any of 'em to Halas Hall to the coaching staff? That would explain a lot :-)

Optimistic article - but can't say I don't hope they're not right - so long as we improve enough to be much better NEXT season after we've drafted high enough to get our new QB .

Anybody been watching Houston ( college ) play this year - you wanna talk about enthusiasm , I've NEVER seen any team as involved with keeping each other cranked up . It's really cool to see and the Bears should take a page out of this guys ( HC Tom Herman ) handbook ( or maybe even hire him someday ) .
