With slow time going one, finding a few things to discuss outside my normal reading. Warren Sharp is a guy taking a deeper look at the traditional way the NFL operates on the field. Here is a recent tweet he posted. This explains why I'm hoping the Bears operate with a two TE set as their base.
Interesting quote from Peterson HC of the Eagles as well:
"Tight ends have morphed into route runners who can block inline. We aren’t a big point, inline tight end scheme."
This is what I believe TEs should be: route runners who can block not blockers who can run routes.
