We got sitton so I can forgive Pace for letting go of Slauson.
Yeah, and he's a huge improvement so for cripes sake let's put this Slauson shit to rest. Slauson would have ended up at OC anyway and as it stands there's more benefit to having Whitehair play. Even a hurting Kyle Long is a better run blocking RG than a completely healthy Slauson.
That is wholey and soundly untrue. Right now Long is a liability along the line he is getting smoked by DL'men.
Likely you would have Slau at OC and Whitehair and Sitton at G's, which is a huge improvement then what they have now. While Slau isn't a pro bowler by any standard, he's a hell of an upgrade on this failing OL.
I had a damaged labrum once . There were days when it was so painful, just putting the car in gear with my rt arm was too much and I had to do it with my lt . That was just shifting my car , pulling a lever - not taking on a 300lb lineman . I'm sure they can give him a shot , but ur body still knows what's wrong with it and it will unconsciously force you to use the affected area differently to keep pressure away from the weak spot . And that's what it is - a weak spot which will automatically make him less effective .
They'll probably have him play for 10 games to see how things go , but if they're 2-8 we might see them shut him down .
Maybe so but right now he's cleared to play and knowing Long he wants to play. All this guessing about what's best for him is useless. If he needed surgery immediately he would have gotten it and he didn't.
I've already posted several times that surgery is rarely the first step with this type of an injury. Those post came from medical journals and other medical sources but for whatever reason we seem to have a few amateur docs here who think they know what's best for Kyle Long.
Please post your diploma's from whatever medical college you graduated from, your credential as a board certified orthopedic surgeon, and your license to practice medicine. If you have none of these I'm not listening to your diagnosis.

Says you. Can you show me all of the game vids where he getting "smoked"? Show me Ric or is this another case of opinion subbing for facts? It's the same with your non-medical based opinions about what's best for Kyle Long. Where's your license to practice medicine?
**** Slauson! He's gone and has been for months so why are you even dragging him back into the conversation? It seems to me like we might be a lot better off with Marshall, Forte, and Bennett back to but that ain't happening either.
You won't find me disagreeing with you that John Fox's preferences have made one hell of a mess of that offense but it's all ancient history now. Fox blew guys off thinking he had there replacements and as it turns out he didn't. So maybe we need our GM to grow a bigger pair of nuts and learn to say no when an obviously defensive minded HC tries to offer up too much advice regarding offensive personnel.
Right now the three biggest problem with that offense don't even include Cutler. He may be part of the problem but he's way down on the list. Fox, Loggains, and Pace are the biggest problem.
Says a lot of people breaking down the film, not me. Watch the games, watch the highlights, your a big boy I don't need to show you shit. He's not playing well, sorry you disagree, but the run game and the pass game say different.
Yes he's gone, he's being drug back b/c the OL is a hot F'n mess and he has been either the best or one of the best OL on the team, and they sent him packing, and again it was solely so their draft picks could be given starting roles w/out earning them. Hence why he's starting on a team who's OL is doing better then ours. Top 10 in ypc and top 5 in rushing TD's and top 10 in sacks given up, w/4. And no that's not all him, but he's the starting OC the leader of that OL and by all accounts they're thrilled to have him.
But really it's not about him, its about how and why he's not here; Pace/Fox getting rid of proven players to pave the road for draft picks to get starting jobs that they haven't earned.
The entire O is a hot mess, only non issues are Jeffery and Sitton and Royal. The rest of the O is a mess. Whitehair has at least shown nice upside w/potential to reach his ceiling. Leno is showing average, but average shouldn't earn you a starting spot automatically.
