Howard is going to be the starter because I'm pretty confident that Langford has an achilles tear. It seems as though everyone thinks that Howard is miles better than Langford and I think I'm the only one that still thinks Langford has value to this team. I am a Howard fan too so don't think that I want to see Langford over Howward, I like them both and think they both help the team.
If you were to go back and look at every run that Howard has made I think you'll see that every time he made a big play he had a huge hole to run through. These were the plays that everyone sees and says that's why he needs to start. What everyone forgets is that Langford is getting huge gains when he has that same hole as well. What no one seemed to notice is that Howard was only able to gain about 8 yards and his last 9 rushing attempts putting him closer to Langford.
I think the point I'm trying to make is that the run blocking has been very inconsistent and I think that's the biggest factor to Langford's poor numbers. With better blocking I think Langford and Howard have pretty good years, until Langford got hurt of course.
