The Bears are on the clock at No. 8, the time is counting down and the jury is arguably still out on whether Mitch Trubisky is going to be their next franchise QB. They really, really want him to be exactly that, but results so far, while encouraging, are far from conclusive. Baker Mayfield is still on the board. Does Ryan Pace take 10 seconds to consider a future in which Mayfield is a perennial All-Pro for another team and Trubisky never quite gets there? Quarterback is by far the most important position on the team. Why not create a real competition for starter while you have the chance and let the best man win? — Mike M., Chicago
Wtf Mike! Seriously, that's your question?
Sheer brilliance.
Biggs info is good fodder for dumb meatball fans who have zero idea of how cap and roster management actually work. For astute, knowledgeable fans like the people on this board, Biggs rarely says anything we don’t already know other than his own opinions.

No. That was me but I was too embarrassed to use my own name. So I fingered Mike. Well... I didn't really finger Mike... I.. well you get the idea.

So when he doesn't give the answers we like we give him the hub treatment. Gotcha.
Oh hey he was wrong this one time so he has no clue when I don't like his responses in the future. I only point this out bc jabf normally posts his stuff but nothing about his ignorance was ever brought up until he pointed out Meredith wasnt a huge loss.

Huh? Have you read his mailbag columns? They're 80% obvious answers to often really dumb questions.
Re: Meredith No one said he was a "huge loss". We are questioning why Pace didn't find a way to keep a homegrown, young, ascending UDFA player (CJones too) when he did find a way to keep Dion Sims who we all pretty much agree is garbage. If you want to believe that Brad Biggs has some sort of unquestionable, infallible "insider" knowledge then feel free. I don't buy that at all. He's just making educated guesses and he's been notably wrong before. Other reporters and analysts disagree with him on this one as well and think it was a poor decision. I've noticed Biggs rarely criticizes team management even when warranted--he's pretty "political".
And, BTW, maybe it's just bravado or maybe the Bears misjudged things, but Cam himself says he will be ready:
To be fair, Fuller wasn't in their plans really, it was Prince and Cooper, but Cooper got benched and Fuller stepped up and played huge. I don't think he's going to be expected to know how players will play.
He wrote several times last offseason that Fuller wouldn't even make the final 53 and the team had "moved on". He missed it by a mile.
The guys info isn't as dialed in as he'd like you to believe and he can be dead wrong just like the rest of us.
I agree. Not sure I agree about the "like the rest of us." Biggs is connected to the Bears. Unless I missed something, no one here is. So while he can be 'dead wrong' the quantity of times he's "dead wrong" are a lot fewer than the number of times casual fans or internet board fans are "dead wrong." Perhaps a different way to put it - while Biggs might be dead wrong in his inferences, he is basing his inferences off a hell of a lot more evidence and inside knowledge than any of us are.
I enjoy Bigg's mailbag. I value his information and his intellect. I appreciate to OP for providing this information. It's good stuff.

I'm curious how we already know it? Maybe it's because of guys like Biggs and Jahns who break news to the fans. Maybe not. Maybe the information magically appears.
