Has size; 6'3"/220lbs, Speed 4.4/40, Long Strider, Good Hands.
Felt he should be starting at Dallas but he just hasn't been all that productive or consistent so far. Worth a look see since he could be had for less money than Cam may get an offer for.
If the Bears get priced out of Cam, this would be a good option.
Heard Biggs on, and he quesitons how strong the market is for Cam since there hasn't been an offer sheet yet, even though every report says he'll be ready for camp, Biggs thinks the knee might be a bigger issue for some teams then what it should be.
Bears could get lucky hear and get their guy at a much better price; but if not Brice is a heck of a consolation prize.

+1 Also, I am amazed by how many undrafted and late round draft guys (like Meredith and this guy Butler) have proven to be solid NFL players. It seems like half the FAs each year who get good contracts, are like this. They are often not 1st and 2nd round guys. I realize that for every one of these guys there are many who did not make it in the NFL. But still, it sure helps when your scouting department and GM can find these guys. I'll bet the Bears bring in some good UDFA talent after the draft, and a couple make the final roster... guys like Cam (not talking WR here, but any position). That's my hope anyway.
Cam is assured nearly $2 mil for the year if he plays under his tender. Coming off an ACL and MCL injury how much more will anyone else guarantee him?
We've debated this a bit and someone may put up and longer term deal but how much will they guaranteed because that's all it's really worth. They all know that Pace has the cap room to match anything within reason and should know his medical condition as well as anyone. If they go higher and guarantee more than say one year they're taking a huge risk on a guy coming off a major injury with just one year of solid #2 WR level production.
So will anyone risk it and offer a deal with more than say $5-$6 mil guaranteed? I think that's as high as Pace would go and I think it's "iffy" that anyone else would under these same circumstances. Maybe this tour is enough to leverage a slightly better offer elsewhere but color me shocked if anyone drops a big number on us.

Completely agree. Cam has been "touring" for a while now but hasn't signed an offer sheet yet and that should come as no surprise. Every other GM knows Pace can and will match any reasonable offer so why bother? Only way to pry him away would be with a big offer and that's taking an injury risk.
Most likely is that Cam stays, plays on the tender for a year, and "bets on himself".

I think this may be one of the plausible scenarios regarding Cam, the other being a reasonable 2-3 year extension.

Unless he can attract something with more than just one year guaranteed that may be his best bet.
We'll see what happens in NOLA but I'm with you. When Pace sees a guy he wants and he visits he typically doesn't leave without an offer and more often than not a contract. Cam hasn't gotten one yet so I'd say teams are still somewhat cautious about him.
