I don't like Pace's tactic of using these transition tag type tenders.
I don't see why $10 million for two years is a good deal when we could have had $2.9 million for one year. Then could have signed to a long-term deal if he worked out.

How is it not? It costs you 2 mill more this year and you have him under control next year for 5 mill. If he recovers from his injury to be what he was prior he's DIRT CHEAP. If he doesn't...he's still cheaper than Wheaton was. Then if you can't work out a long term deal you can franchise him. Pace was masterful with these tags and I don't see how you can complain about it.
