In exchange, the Browns shipped quarterback DeShone Kizer and swapped late-round picks with the Packers, gave the Dolphins a fourth-round pick this season and a seventh in 2019 and sent the Bills the No. 65 overall pick in this year's draft.

So a rumor that began with us swapping Jordan Howard and our #8 pick for their #11 pick and Jarvis Landry has ended with Miami actually getting just a 4th and a future 7th from Cleveland.

That's kinda like asking for a Cadillac and ending up with a '74 Ford Pinto. LOL

I don't know what Pace actually offered or how far talks got but Landry going to Cleveland of all places, really? And we could not offer a 4th this year and 7th next year? That is why I just created the FA reaction thread.

I suggested a 4th and a 2019 mid round pick and we could have done what Cleveland did too but IMHO what it came down to was the money. It's been reported the Pace was still talking to his agent but my guess is Cleveland was willing to offer more money. In the long run that tell us Landry really wasn't all that hot to play in Chicago for less.

That was high on my list of concerns. Mixed in with those 400 catches are these $150k plus worth of fines. One each season very consistently.

With Landry the "cost" was salary PLUS draft picks. I can understand why Pace passed, especially since JL has a rep for being a diva PITA.

That's why I have been on ARob bandwagon--he wont cost draft capital and has no known behavioral issues.

Credit Mia for getting anything on their bluff. But what they got drastically lightened w/what Landry wants as a contract and w/Watkins/Robinson/Lee/Richardson all hitting FA.

Still a 4th and next year late pick for a guy you are going to cut? Well done Browns way the picks you earned through trading back and sucking; then again how else are they going to get a qb/wr or any other FA players to come there w/out trading for them?
