People are already talking about firing people, or how the GM or Fox - or both - may be needing replaced if things don't get better. I keep thinking that constant turnover, is usually not good either though. The crap teams of the NFL often seem to go through GMs and coaches in an endless cycle, but still go through long years of being crap franchises anyway.

I keep hoping Pace/Fox can turn the team around. And not because I am a fan of either of them.

One other thought, not related to firing people... I don't think that "easy schedule" folks were talking about before the season began, is gonna save us this year.

JABF, I agree with you mostly and what really is really a downer is that we could not contain basically 2 rookie or in experienced QB's. We made both look like Joe Montana. No excuse for that. But on to the next game.

No, that's not the answer either. I think we need to stick with Pace a while. Logjam looks like he is Tucker of the OC. Remember how Lovie could never bring in a good OC? I's looking like Fox might have the same problem. He was lucky with Gase, but they let him move on. I really don't know how this group can right the ship this year, or next. Something has GOT to change on O. Maybe we dump Cutler and Logjam this year and start over there. Looks like we'll have a top 10 pick again, so maybe we can grab a decent QB. I don't know, I'm just so disgusted after watching that debacle in person last night.

I don't think the O is going to change until we get a solid offensive line here in Chicago. And I am getting tired of the Cutler-act of turning the ball over in critical game situations. The act was lame from his first year here... and it gets harder to watch each year now. I know we have a lot of other problems, other than OL and our QB. I totally see that. But still - that doesn't mean we don't have the problems.

Exactly. But I think he has some brains and some humility. I think he can learn from his mistakes. So I will give him a chance to prove himself. Let's see what his next HC does. I don't think a GM's career should be tied to just one HC.

Also need to factor in how much patience the McCaskeys and sweaty Teddy will have.

JABF, every team has a question mark or two on their starting OL. No one has 5 pro-bowl talents starting. Even Dallas, the best OL in the league for sure, has Doug Free at RT and he's way past his prime.

The Bears have above average talent on the OL in my opinion with one major question mark at RT. Yet, despite this, they have NOT been able to run OR pass block a paper grocery bag the last 6 quarters of football.

Something isnt right here and I lay the blame for that on Loggains. This line looks as bad as the days of Williams, Carimi, Rachal, and Webb despite having way more talent.

I don't claim to know anything. I do expect the OL to run-block and pass-protect better than what we've had here in recent years. I don't know if it's the coaches or the talent. But what we're seeing isn't going to get it done. Not this season. Not any season. It's gotta be better than this or we're screwed.
