He's only 26 years old and maybe this would allow Whitehair to be a full-time guard.

Zach Fulton could be free-agent option for Bears in 2018
Zach Fulton's connection to Matt Nagy makes him a logical target for the Chicago Bears this offseason.
Following the news that came out on Tuesday about the Chicago Bears declining Josh Sitton's $8 million option, the organization will now be looking to find a new starter along the offensive line. The team will have plenty of different options to look at in the coming weeks, but one player who could be available is Kansas City's Zach Fulton. The biggest reason why he can be an option for the Bears is because of his connection to new head coach Matt Nagy.
A sixth-round pick of the Chiefs out of Tennessee in 2014, Fulton has spent his entire career in Kansas City. Nagy served as the Chiefs quarterbacks coach between 2013 and 2015 before taking over as the offensive coordinator in 2016. Fulton gave Nagy plenty of versatility during his time in Kansas City, making starts at center, right guard and left guard. Because of that versatility, Nagy came away impressed with Fulton last season when he was thrust into a starting role at center.
