Glad to see this. He needs to get this stuff behind him. He can't go out there again with a torn anything and be going against 320+ pound freaks of nature. He needs to be 100%. I don't think this surgery will be a bid deal and should no lingering effects. Wish he would have done it last year and avoided the neck surgery.
Wonder why they don't just go and do the hand at the same time. It keeps the date that he will be 100% moving out longer.
I'm really hoping he and Kevin White can come back and play the entire season, and have great seasons. We will see. White is younger and his body is lower-mileage than Long at this point.

I think Long will go into re-Beast mode. White has never been a good player for us, he not only has to rehab, he also has to actually do what he has never been able to do. I am skeptical there. But he definitely has the ability. We need the equivalent of Harry Hiestand in our WR coach also. He has had success at coaching and he used to be a WR so hopefully he can can help White. Hope Furrey can make White a real NFL WR.

I'm not blaming either of them, nor questioning their heart. Both are busting their butts to get healthy. Not their fault that their bodies are not cooperating.

Once I see a fully healed Kyle Long not playing well, I'll start to worry. He has not allowed himself to heal before he plays.
His playing when not healed was also the source of more injuries. He just needs to get back to ground zero and then we can see what's what.
