Alshon Jeffery has been impressed with the strides that fellow Bears receiver Kevin White has made this summer after sitting out his entire rookie season with a leg injury.
“He’s taking coaching well and learning,” Jeffery said Sunday after practice at Halas Hall. “He missed the whole year last year, so this year he’s progressing right where we need him to be. He listens to the coaches and he’s making plays and having fun.”
“I just told him to play physical because he’s big, he’s strong and he’s fast.” Jeffery said. “Coach [Curtis Johnson] reminds him of that all the time. I just told him to go out and have fun, just play physical and just do what he’s been doing.”
Hmm, on one end White's progress would take the heat off Alshon, on the other Alshon would surely like to be the main target as much as possible. It is his contract year, again
I try to forget the years that there were crap WR's on the team resulting in setting the franchise back decades and nobody in the FO did anything about it!

I know you can't be talking about the famous Roy Williams!

Ah yes... the memories flood back... Roy Williams.... the Savior of our ailing passing game. Someone misjudged that by just a tad
I think Jeffery is still going to be the main target, at least until Cutler feels he can 100% trust White. But it's a good problem to have.
Yep. I think you're exactly right. Jay has better choices for targets now and he's getting smarter about how he conducts his business. If you want the ball you need to earn his trust. Miller has it, AJ has it, Mariani has it, Royal may have to earn it back, and White has yet to earn it. So the majority of the targets will be those in whom he trust most at least for now.
