It scares me that, after a hot start, the O stopped doing the things that made them successful and unpredictable and became a rather mundane unit to close it out.
True but what I'm thinking is if Nagy is available so would Toub and so far that's not a name we've heard.
Now, it could also be that he's already sold on Toub but is looking at other options who contrast to him and those who might be good OC prospects but but doesn't "feel" that way to me. Five'll get ya' ten Toub is going to Indy and it's become a known fact. I could be way off base but that's my hunch.
If he hires an OC type and Fangio can't be retained he's got guys like Pagano and Del Rio as top DC guys too so the feeling may be that it will be easier to create long term stability this way than to keep a top OC like DeFlillipo for more than a year and once again we end up like we did with Gase as an OC.
That's my gut feeling.
Could be. I wouldn't necessarily discount McDaniels in Indy just yet though...but we'll see.

I think Trubisky spilled the beans on that one. He said the Loggains trusted him but both were limited to what they were permitted to do. I think right up 'til the end Focks was campaigning to keep his job hoping to pull out just one or two more wins he could use to claim progress.
Hell, even without them he still tried to do it. In his good bye he says "most of the heavy lifting" has been done and that the "playing field has been leveled". Pace gets behind mic and says just the opposite and begs for more time claiming it's not easy.
Of course that Phillips and GMcC talking through him and we should know that by now. If we don't then we're being very naive. It's always gonna be a BOHICA as long as those two run the team. They won't step away and that's quite obvious no matter what they say.

I was talking about the Chiefs O. They stalled out big time.

Ooops, this sounded just like the Bears except I was trying to figure out when except for some brief moments when they'd ever been successful or unpredictable other than one faked punt. Communication breakdown. LOL

Not sure if he is ready and there would be growing pains with him. That being said, learing from Reid helps for sure and I've read that they wanted Trubisky too. Reid is saying he is the best HC prospect he ever had on his Coaching tree.
Nagy’s rumored staff OC: David Culley, former WR coach and currently Bills QB coach DC: Mike Pettine
Don't know much about the OC, but I'm not sure if I want Pettine as the DC...

why? Pettine would be a good DC and having a Young offensive minded HC would benefit from a guy like Pettine for sure.
