The fact that Fox played him hurt just to save his a** says a lot about Fox.
Thats not just a Fox thing...thats a league thing. You can't imagine the injuries these guys play through. Kyle is as tough as they come, I don't know what he had done to his neck...but hopefully it helps.
I thought I saw that they repaired a herniated disk.
The other two surgeries I read were his shoulder and his hand.
+1 The reconstructive ankle surgery is another "biggie" for a big lineman. The position is one that requires explosive play from a 320 pound man, hitting and manhandling 300+ pound defenders, play after play and game after game. I am not a medical guy, but I have to believe the ankles, knees, shoulders, neck and hands - all - are subjected to incredible stresses (all have been Kyle Long injuries).
Boy, I "get it" that talking about Kyle Long's injuries, possibily having an impact upon his future play, infuriates some people. You'd think I kicked their grandma and insulted their mothers. But even the BEST athletes can have their careers negatively impacted by major injuries and age. Kyle enters his 30s next year. He has had serious injuries and surgeries (his dad said the ankle surgery did not go well) so yes, Kyle Long may have his career negatively impacted by all of this. May. I'm not saying he's done. But yes, I do worry about him as we move forward in future years. Shoot me for trying to be objective here.

Welcome to my world
+1 LOL, my New Year's resolution for the messageboard is to try and not get too far on either extreme (positive or negative). For me that is hard, because I am pretty emotional about stuff... and not just football. But, hey, I can try to do better this year :-)
