Moving forward and looking towards next year, what is your biggest concern? Mine is our QB. We gave a lot to get this guy and to me he’s shown no signs whatsoever of being a legit NFL QB. People are going to get pissed off and defensive reading this, but name ONE thing about him that gives you hope? Accuracy? Nope not consistent there at all. Read a defense? Nope Pick up a blitz? Nope. Get rid of the ball quickly? Nope.Make a big boy throw? No and to me this is perhaps the most concerning. Mitchell looks scared out here, like a deer in headlights. Throw the damn ball for crying out loud. Am I alone with these thoughts???
I am not with you on this. He is a victim of crappy gameplans and playcalls combined with injured starting weapons and crappy 3rd and 4th stringers starting. Bad blocking and receivers that can't get open, a predictable playcalls, and the poor kid doesn't stand a chance.
Give him some weapons, a healthy line, and a decent OC and I think you'll see a very good qb develop.
The TD throw today was a big boy throw. if you missed that you are looking for things to complain about. he moved in the pocket, stepped up, waited for inman to get open and threw a laser.

I REALLY liked what I saw in him. I feel he has regressed. We did not handle this right. We ARE messing him up. He should have been learning. But right now, I do not see any quit. He has not been shellshocked killed in the pocket. I think he will be ok. I hope I am not wrong. I see what you see, but I think it is his environment more than anything. The game plans, the WRs, and with both of those, I also question whether or not we really know how to properly develop a QB.
I am going to wait until mid next year before I will consider him being the wrong guy. There are just too many legitimate issues around him right now. I hope to God I am right because if not, next year will be bad. Again.
There's no way to fairly judge Mitch under these conditions anymore than saying Cutler played lousy football here. Rodgers and Brady couldn't make that offense look better. It's regressed and so has Trubisky. That's expected and it began to happen the day Gase left.
If we want to blame some people then blame whoever it was who decided Focks should still be the HC this year. Start there.
