Man my short term memory is fading but is that the play where Glenn was injured and had to leave the game?

Those were certainly among the reasons he and Elway disagreed and you can toss Manning into the mix as well.  But in the end the single biggest reason, and the one that's beginning to concern me a bit, is Foxy's tendency to be as stubborn as Lovie when he thinks he's correct.  I think we're beginning to see a bit of that in him now that the honeymoon is over.

For those less familiar with the Broncos and John Elway there are no ties in a debate with him.  It will be his way or no way at all.  I'm not among those who feel that Gary Kubiak is in any way a superior HC to Fox but he is an offensive coach and he will listen and agree to what Elway wants.  But without the defense Fox helped build and Wade Phillips to run it Denver would not have even been in the SB let alone won it.

But both are more aggressive on both sides of the ball than Fox is and that's why they're here and Fox is in Chicago.  He may be the right guy to turn this around but long term he may not be the right guy to keep it that way.  Caution and close scrutiny is our friend.

That one was very quick. When that play happened, the Texans got back on the field and snapped the ball before the replay was televised. I don't know if the franchises are limited to what they see plus what is being broadcast to determine if they should challenge.

Point is that the Texans knew that they could get away with one if they got the next play in the book quickly enough. Technically legal. I'm more inclined to call that good coaching on the Texans than bad coaching on Fox.

Or am I thinking of a different play?

I was hoping that Fox would be a breathe of fresh air for the Bears but I'm beginning to believe he is no more than a poor mans Lovie.
