The story of the 2017 Chicago Bears has centered around QB Mitchell Trubisky, but the true heartbeat of the offense has been RB Jordan Howard, who’s on pace to become the first Bears running back to start his career with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
Yes, Howard is on the cusp of achieving something that Hall-of-Famers Walter Payton and Gayle Sayers were unable to do.
On Monday, the Bears official Twitter account tweeted an epic photo on of Howard and Payton appearing as teammates walking off the field together. There’s nothing quite like combining the historic past with the face of the future.
Props go out to Chicago’s social media department for a fantastic job with their photoshop account.
The tweet also included a fascinating nugget of information about Howard. He’s the fastest player to reach 10 100-yard rushing games in a career, accomplishing that feat in 23 career appearances.
interesting note. I read the Sweetness book, and it mentioned he wore his HS thigh/knee pads b/c they were lighter. Seems Jordans are smaller then that when you consider he is several inches taller
also, bears need to higher a better quality photo shopper, that was pretty weak sauce. My wife could do better(although she's pretty damn good).
