TE situation, time for Shaheen to get more snaps and shine

Well, the bearswire article quotes him as kind of exclusively learning to block which is a handy skill. 

Does he actually think he can outdo the brilliance of the Hester package? Me thinks no way Jose!!

Once again I'm gonna use this as one more example of how badly we misuse personnel.  Yeah, he does need to learn NFL blocking as TE because he wasn't use much that way in college.  But at least in the red zone and definitively in 1st and goal packages he should have become an ace receiving target long ago.

This seems to be another area of disconnect between Pace vision and Fox's coaching.  Sims has been a disappointment and I don't totally buy the "well then Shaheen must be even worse" some like to use as rationale for dismissing valid points and defending the indefensible.  Let's just say he's a rookie and on this team rookies don't get their shot until Fox has expended all other options.

I'd be willing to be we see more of Brown than we do of Shaheen even with Miller out.
