Drops and a greater responsibility in pass protection have limited Bennett’s production after seven games. He’s on pace for only 55 catches and 533 yards, and he still hasn’t found the end zone. His blocking has been a plus, both in pass protection and in the run game (see: Aaron Jones’ touchdown run vs. the Saints), but the Packers signed him to a three-year deal to provide another dangerous weapon in the passing game. Bennett is slowing down and hasn’t been great after the catch. The Packers need more, especially with Brett Hundley now under center.
Sounds like he's not the weapon everybody seems to think he is/was.

And the operative work in your response is was. As he was a good TE.
mmmm, not quite. He WAS the BEST TE we had SINCE Greg Olsen.
I could say it thusly... He was the best TE we had since 2010.
Or... He was a medium sized fish in a tiny little pond.
In no case am I saying he is or was a great TE. When the bar is so low, it's not too hard to be the best of the bottom of the barrel. And that's where I rank the faded unicorn... Kind of in the middle of the barrel. Not the dregs on the bottom, but not the cream on top either.
