"The two newest names added to the Bears’ injury list are two of their most promising players. Guard Kyle Long did not practice Saturday night because of a shoulder injury, coach John Fox said, and running back Jeremy Langford wore a walking boot on his left foot."
Not good that Langford is in a walking boot, by all accounts he was the starting rb and was going to get the most carries. This team cannot get out of it's own way w/injuries. Wonder if this happened in NE or in a practice in Chicago?
Not sure the boot is a huge deal. I think the assumption with the boot is that somethings broken or severely sprained and sometimes it's just a mechanism to reduce all weight bearing so a minor injury - a short term injury - can heal quickly.
Unfortunately, Fox has lost a lot of credibility with injuries so it's easy to suspect the worst.
One other note, kind of on Ric's notion of Howard getting more reps, Carey might also get action which is important in the eval and comp battles at the position. I'm rooting for Carey cause the kids got tremendous heart.

Im rooting for Carey too, to tell you the truth, he earned his shot and was left behind quite a few times

You know... I like Langford and it is a loss, but with the way Fox built the RB stable, we do not have a clear and away best RB (like we did with Forte). I am not even sure there will be a significant droff off with some of the other guys. I think we can afford an injury at RB more than at any other position.
