I figure (hope anyway) that this team today is one of the better ones on our schedule, and we will improve and start winning with this next opponent, the Eagles.

Not sure I understand your use of mixed up idiom "all up hill from here" especially with the cryptic "hopefully" tagged to the end of it.
Usually the idiom reads "It's all down here from here" meaning someone / or some people have climbed to the peak of a hill or mountain and rest of it is easy going.
OR the idiom reads " It's going to be an uphill battle from here" meaning someone has just begun to struggle and the struggle is going to get worse as the elevation grows.
I'm assuming you mean the schedule gets easier here on out - or at least it hopefully does - but I just need to check.
Yeppers. Like I posted before if we could have scored 24 points we win and I think as the defense improves that will be the case for much of the season.

The average winning score yesterday was 25. The average losing score was 16. 7 winning teams averaged less then 25, 7 losing teams averaged more then 16. 25 points only wins 8 of 14 games. While Def is important, scoring is becoming easier and easier in this NFL, so 25 is not a good option if you want to win in the NFL b/c winning teams will actually score more then that.
