What things does Fox do now moving forward? What did he learn and how does he make adjustments? I made this same thread on the other site, lets see which board responds better.
There's a lot to work on with this young team. But there is some decent young talent that will get better as the season progresses. Both lines will get better. White will get better for sure.
I'm thinking we (fans) just need to be careful to not over-react to this one opening game. There is something good to build on here. Frankly, the team did better than I thought they would.

I agree with this. Hopefully our first round picks develop into something but that won't change the play calling. Fox has a history of games like this. There will be a time when we are a competitive team and he will be costing us games because of this.
We will have to move on from Fox soon. Either next year or the year after that. If Pace's first round picks can develop into something special he may be in here long term.
Fox needs to step up his game as the team looked as if they made no halftime adjustments. White specifically looked lost and unprepared which is insane considering the time he had to figure it out.

White looked lost out there - expected but he should be a bit further on imo. An Eddie Royal sighting was surprising. I'm keeping hope alive until week 8. Or until the beer runs out.

With so many young/new players I think Fox and the coaching staff needs to patiently keep developing the youngsters and not panic and feel they have to "do" something crazy. There is a lot of room for improvement with a lot of the players, and that (hopefully) will come. We should see improvement game-by-game for the individual players and the team overall.
Both the DL and OL will improve and they both need improvement. This alone will help the team overall significantly. We were not able to get consistent pressure on the QB today, and our own OL needs to improve run-blocking and pass protection. But I think we will see the improvement in both lines.
I expected the team to look rough today. I think I would have been shocked if the team had manhandled the Texans today and the youngsters had put a flawless clinic on for us to watch in this 1st game. To be honest, the team looked better in this first game than I expected. There is a lot of work to do for these coaches and players. This is just the beginning.
Fox is set in his ways. I don;t see him changing much.
But what he SHOULD change is
1) he built a stable of RBs to change up. So change up.
2) Adjustments at half time or when the other team adjusts to what you are doing and starts to destroy you are strongly recommended. Find an OC that can do that.
3) Some rookies made too many mistakes. I am sure that they can do some things well. Until they cane expand, stick to what they do well and let them grow.
4) How about seeing that the team plays for 4 full quarters?
