One of the nicest features of this new messageboard is its shoutbox/chat room. It is fantastic to share a game experience with messageboard friends like this. It just makes it special.

It's a different vibe being with friends "in the moment" reacting to the game as it unfolds, rather than commenting in threads after the game is over. Nothing wrong with that either, but "real time" is cool.

I sure hope to share the game with some of you guys today if you can make it. Thanks.

I'm a lamer. I decided NFL commercials are too much to watch games live. I'll be watching it later this evening once the condensed version is available on Game Pass. That means from 12-7pm I need to stay away from all media that might threaten my ignorance of the game.

I might be here. I usually have stuff to do on the weekends and I kind of like DVR'ing the game so I can start watching about 60 - 90 minutes after it starts so I can skip through the commercials and the "analysis" (depending on who is covering the game).

Ditto . I'm a DVR intentional late starter also - plus I find chat to be too distracting during the game ( I'm an " intense " viewer ) ... but I might do it during some of their upcoming nite games . Have fun .

It also allows me to look at specific plays multiple times at 1/4 or 1/8 speed. It can give you a feel for exactly what happened. At full speed things are so bang-bang fast you can't see the important details.

I do both. I watch realtime and I also record the games so I can re-watch the game later if I want to. Usually I do watch at least some of the game later. LOL, not because I'm doing any serious analysis... I'm just a fan. On a serious note, I do value you guys who are more knowledgeable and break down the game play for us who are less knowledgeable of the nuances of the game.

One thing I deeply enjoy when I watch a recorded game is watching the linemen play. I love it :-)
