post game is talking about that on 670, you have all this money invested in the OG's, and you ran a 4th and 1 qb sneak behind the rookie OC w/1 start under his belt against that Def front.
I know I might be in the minority, but I think the Bears played a 'Decent' game considering the type of defense Houston plays.
1. The attempt on 4 and 1 may have cost us the game. I think a lot of people are forgetting that Whitehair hasn't played center in a long time. 2. The Houston D.. That D is one of the toughest D in the league. I think they did pretty well against JJ Watt (granted he wasn't 100%) until the end of the game. 3. Teams like the Bears don't start out strong. I think the Bears will improve as the season progress..
I actually think we'd played a pretty damn good game for 30 minutes and then apparently some coaches and players must have it written into their contracts that they can take the other 30 minutes off.
The botched snap (which is on Whitehair, the ball never even got into Cutler's hands) cost us a drive and a shot at being up 14-0. The blown route by KW cost us another drive and gave 3 points to Houston. Rookie mistakes and very costly ones since if you subtract 3 points from their score and add 7 more to ours we win the game. 21-20.
I thought the major coaching blunders were in some very poor second half play calling and failure to adjust and in Fox not challenging that spot on that 4th and 1 gift Houston got that led to a score. Osweiler never even got the ball past the LOS. He was stood up and he actually lost a yard and yet they spotted the ball a yard and a half ahead of that? Bull shit spot and I can't believe he failed to challenge that yet challenged what was an obvious catch later in the game.
I gotta be honest here. After some bad decisions last year too I'm rapidly losing my faith in Fox as a game day coach. He reminds me a lot of Lovie.

**** The Score. This idiots will find more shit to bitch about than even I can. It was the proper play call but Whitehair got a case of the jumps and didn't execute the snap well. I'll lay $100 it never happens again.

You mean ex Bears Kruetz and Big Cat Williams? Ya those idiots.

If Olin and Big Cat thought a sneak on 4th and inches wasn't the correct call there then yeah, they're idiots.
Ric, I would suggest you put all of this in your drunken ramblings column tomorrow including your take on Cutler because that's where you're headed with this now so I'm out of it for today. I never argue with a drunk and I should know a lot about that having been one for quite awhile myself some years back.

You make some good points. The team is young and will get better. They didn't fall apart like some probably expected the Bears to do today. Facing a quality opponent (especially that Houston D) was probably a good test. I came away with the feeling the team did better than I thought they would. There is something to build on here, and I'll bet this 2016 team is going to decent.

See ya tomorrow.
Thats not what i said they said. A qb sneak behind the rookie oc and not one of those pro bowl guards was why the call was incorrect.
And you are not 1/2 as knowledgable as either of them get off that high horse or youll break a hip.
I already wrote that article and im now completely sober.

Loggains is a retard and that is why he's on his final team as OC (aka Martz, Tice, Kromer, now the midget) we Bear Fans get to watch this incompetence again and again and again.

It was disappointing we didn't get that converted. But Whitehair isn't a bulldozer blocker. That's not his strength (pun intended). He's more of a technique/finesse guy. I don't think he will ever be the kind of guy who will blow up guys like Vince Wilfork with road grader power.

I don't think strenght is lacking in whitehair, it's experience and going up against a stud NT. Why not go w/a better option in running that behind on of the G's?
