Not meant to compare Watson to Trubisky at all but Watson was who I wanted and since he is down here in Houston I hear stuff about him a lot. Everything so far has been very impressive. Same so far with T. Maybe there will be more than one good QB this draft. I think they are definitely open to Watson playing this year. They are talking about how he feels really comfortable with complicated offenses because of how he was trained in college and how much work he is putting in. He may definitely play this year so we may know how good he is before the year is up.
Not that T is any worse than he is, but I think the plan with him is to learn behind Glennon and he may even see the field this year. We'll see how things go for Watson and what kind of pounding he takes in the NFL. Hell.... I guess even though Carr was a Texan they have short memories. I'm kind of curious how it all comes out.
I'm not sure we'll hear anything negative about any of these guys this soon. If their workouts prior to the draft stood up to scrutiny what they're doing in OTAs isn't all that much different. Camp and the preseason will begin to reveal some flaws if there are any.
Watson has talent as well but I never though he was the best fit in Chicago. Maybe both teams got "their guy".

You are hearing a lot of good things about Kizer also; he's been getting 1st team reps w/the Browns and it sounds like he'll continue to compete for the job once TC opens.
I was never as down on this qb class as others; and my only disappointment in Pace was that it sounded like it was Trubs or no one; If Kizer had been there in the 2nd I would hope he would have taken him. I haven't heard anything about Mahommes, did a quick search for him, nothing about him regarding his performance in OTA's and rookie minicamp.
Watson's going to be in a tough spot if Houston can't get their O-Line up to speed quickly. That line has been consistently ranked as one of the worst in the NFL and that's not an environment to bring in a rookie QB. He will have weapons and a defense that can bail him out, but he's gonna get hit, often, unless they have some magic happening in the O-Line room.
