Sadly even with Trubisky or Glennon our QB position will be average at best. If you think Glennon was looked over, and is going to take the NFL by storm, your probably wrong. Trub, if if he starts over Glennon, will still take a season or two to develop. The best we can hope for is sold defense and a good run game.

Well statistically speaking just betting on everyone to fail will probably make you right. So assuming that Glennong wont be very good is statistically the safe bet, same w/everyone. I wouldn't say take the NFL by storm but I think he could play around average for the league.
Trubs will definitely take a year, probably 2 or 3 to really get up to speed.
The best we can hope for isn't a good run game and def, those are already given's, the question is how good are they going to be. The best we can hope for is Glennon playing closer to 12th-15th and the WR's/TE's looking above average.

For our offense to click (at least as I see it with the current personnel), we will need both sets of receivers to be able to get open in the short to intermediate passing game. Shaheen, Sims and Miller will need to get open within 10 yds of the LOS. Then catch the ball and make at least some positive yardage. Our WRs will have to do the same 5 - 15 yds deep. Hopefully this is where all the slot WR signings comes in.
Not saying this will happen, but for the personnel I see on the team it is what will have to happen. If Meredith and White can really extend the defense it will get better but IMO Meredith is more of a possession receiver than a true deep threat and White needs to stay healthy to develop so I am not going to count on either as a real deep threat at this point in time.
If the defense improves in the secondary and pass rush DL develops AND the O can score 21pts, the division is there for the bears.
O needs score closer to 24 points, but ya, 2ndry needs to cover enough to allow the rush to get there, the rush has to exist for that to happen; and when the rush does get there, the db's need to get the turnovers.
Isn't Wheaton a deep theat? Thought I read that somewhere.
Brasil, was reading your signature... Trub ok?
I need to change that. Its was posted back at the beginning of the off season when everyone was bemoaning having the 3rd pick and not the second. Funny how that worked out.

ok, but is Trub 'your Watson'?
I never cared where Pace took a QB or who that QB was, as long as he aggressively addressed the position. And he did, so I'm happy even if it doesn't work out.
