Since Pace seems to feel Shaheen will contribute this year plus we have Sims, and two younger guys in Brown and Braunecker with some upside this can't be much of a shock. Put another receiver in the Marshall, Bennett, Forte, AJ hopper. I think the idea of getting anything of value in trade is pretty far fetched though.

Yup, that was my primary point as well. "Far fetched", "absurd", "ridiculous", "preposterous" you name it, dats wutit isss. Well, maybe someone would willing to give a conditional 7th rounder in the 2025 draft, but...
I can see this happening. We just drafted a guy who's comparison was Zach Miller.
I think his comparrison was the Sea's TE Zach Miller, not our TE. And honestly both are bad comparrisons, this guy is an inch caller and about 20lb's heavier.
I don't think anyone would trade anything for him...but you don't get what you don't ask for. Bears might have floated it out seeing if there was a taker. Doesn't hurt to try.

Can you get a conditional based on games played? Might be the only way he gets moved. Like a 5th if he's eligible for 14 game or something like that or it bounces down to a 6th. Numbers are obviously made up.

I want to say yes because I believe I remember that being done in the past.
