Wow, seems kinda dumb that this would even warrant reporting. I'm not even sure he will be able to come back from his most recent injury. Lis franc's are pretty tricky aren't they?

His Lisfranc injury was in 2014. That was during a PS game with Jacksonville. He made a complete recovery from that. The last injury was a broken bone in his right foot against the Giants last November.

Don't we have little mini foot rods for that?
According to Wikipedia, "For severe Lisfranc injuries, open reduction with internal fixation (ORIF) and temporary screw or Kirschner wire (K-wire) fixation is the treatment of choice."

According to him it's what happened this past season too.
"Yet he told former Bear Tom Thayer and me Monday night on "Bears All Access" on "670 The Score" he's on schedule from the fractured Lisfranc in his right foot suffered against the Giants in November."

If that is the case, I'd be surprised if he was available for OTAs. I know recovery time is determined by the exact nature and severity of the injury but all the stuff I've read on lisfranc injuries talk about no weight on the foot for at least 6 weeks and then only partial weight for at least another 6 weeks. So he was only able to start working out to any degree sometime in March.
I keed I keed. But this does surprise me a little bit, the team has seen serious injuries hamper their play, and they finally have some legit depth, why not keep him around even as a backup sure he'll get hurt again sooner or later, guy's career says it's going to happen, but a few snaps here or there might lower the shots of Sims or Shaheen going down.
