I think Ego will find a home on another team's 53 man roster. In the right system he could have a solid, productive career.

The change from 4-3 to 3-4 a year ago was a huge change. It will be interesting to see this defense play this year. Hopefully it will be much better. Lot of youngsters learning the ropes.

You are right Chuck. Just more upset about a wasted pick.

Maybe so. But everything I was able to see or read about Ego was basically very positive. He has athletic skills. He is very team oriented, works hard. All in all a good guy. If we stayed in a 4-3 he might have been a long term player for us.

While he was a poor fit for Fangio's system, I hope he catches on somewhere else and has a good career.

I think a great deal of our success or failure this season will be dependent upon how these two units perform. Certainly there is a lot more to the team than these guys, but if they struggle, then that puts a ceiling on how well the rest of the team will be able to perform.

I think so too. We also have a great coordinator coaching the defense.
It is the offense that is a question mark for me. I'm not saying it will be bad. I just don't know at this point. I don't know about the coordinator. And I wonder about the offensive line. Hopefully it will all be good too.
