windycitygridiron.com proclaimed Tanner Gentry, WR as a sleeper before draft:
Tanner Gentry (6'1"/208), Wyoming - Wyoming's Josh Allen is one of the top QB prospects for the 2017 season and likely the 2018 draft. He actually piled up enough production last season that considered declaring for this draft, but he ultimately decided to return to college for another season. A big chunk of that production came from throwing to his favorite deep-route target, Tanner Gentry. Gentry, hauled in 72 catches good for 1326 yards and an eye-popping 14 TDs.Tanner ran a 4.53 40-yard dash at his pro day, clicked off 19 bench reps, and a 38.5-inch vertical jump. He tracks the ball extremely well down the field, has great hands, and is strong enough to shed tacklers after the catch to gain additional yards.

Another blurb on Gentry. Maybe he can crack the practice squad at least.
Analysis:
Gentry was a productive wideout who showed continued progress in his game and a player who did the little things well. He’s a slot receiver whose downfield blocking could help him capture a roster spot.
BOTTOM LINE Antoine lacks the coverage talent to be considered a full-time safety, but his experience as a return man combined with his ability to get down the field in kick coverage gives him an outside shot of finding his way on a roster as a special teams specialist.
The kid sounds perfect for us. So do our other safeties.
This kid wasn't brought in for S, he was brought in for ST's. The other S's on the rosters are heading into their 2nd and 3rd year. Gabriel was talking on the score last night. He said the Bellecheck and Parcels used to say that you cannot judge a player until 2-3 years into the league, and both said that you basically throw out the rookie year; anything gotten from a rookie in the first year is a bonus. But ya lets keep pretending that we have any idea what the 4 DB's drafted in the last 2 years are.
Freddie Stevenson first met the Chicago Bears’ coaching staff at the Senior Bowl. While the Florida State fullback spent the week in Alabama as a member of the South team, the Bears coaches led the North. The sides mingled plenty, and Chicago first expressed interest in Stevenson back in January. The Bartow grad watched his name go uncalled during the final day of the NFL Draft on Saturday but, after those final picks were made, the Bears reached out. Now, Stevenson is heading to Chicago after signing as an undrafted free agent. “They said they’re going to give me an opportunity to start right away,” he said. “They said my versatility is really why they were so big on me.”
The Bears did not have a sixth or seventh round pick and Stevenson said the team told him on Sunday, had they held more picks in the later rounds, they would have drafted him. The team currently has a fullback on roster in Paul Lasike. Chicago was one of six teams to try and sign Stevenson after the draft. “It was exciting,” Stevenson said. “I knew that would be the best fit for me.”
This is a team that is looking to run A LOT. Might not be the 2 TE set, but it sounds like they wont' havea ton of 3-4 WR sets either.

I'm hoping he has success just like our other UDFA wide receiver did, Cam Meredith.
Andy Phillips, K, Utah Height: 5-10. Weight: 205. Projected Round (2017): 6-FA. 4/26/17: Phillips was 21-of-25 this season with a long of 47 yards. One miss came in the 30-yard range. The other three were in the 40s. He didn't attempt a kick in the 50-plus-yard range.
8/20/16: Phillips has been extremely accurate during his collegiate career as he has three seasons of hitting over 80 percent on his field goals. Phillips was 23-of-27 in 2015 with a long of 53 yards. In 2014, the sophomore was 23-of-28. He hit on 85 percent of his field goals as a freshman. Of his 133 extra point attempts during his collegiate career, Phillips has only missed one.

This could be a very valid point. Maybe they want to go back to power smash mouth football predicated on great power running and a great defense. The pieces are not all there but hey let's see what happens. The guard they draft on the 5th could turn into Sitton's replacement in 2 years. He seems to have some correctable tendencies and could be a power guard in the running game.
