I enjoy your serial killer history (of course, crazy cults too), its really something
We got your cults, we got your serial killers, we got your killers that eat body parts after killing their victims, and we have your basic garden variety murderer. It's like ordering from a full service menu that appeals to all customers.
Well at least crafty old Charlie is still among us while Bundy "rode the lightening" many years ago and is now giving the devil pedicures. LOLOL
True, well to be fair Ted's body of work is much bigger hence the riding I suppose
Well Ted did his own killing whereas Charlie had his "crew" do his for him which may actually have made him the smarter of the two if he thought he could use that in his defense. But in fact neither would make my list of Mensa nominees. To me they're both vicious psychopaths.
Cant say something about the Ted Bundy and Charlies Manson as I have no clue as who they are I agree the offense was worse, but the offense also had way more injuries than Tucker. Tucker at least had healthy players, if our offense sucked balls without key players being injuried, I would have called for his arse too.
I am not so sure Fox is gone next season either. If Pace nails the draft similar to last years (all though you are bond to have bad drafts every now and then, even GB, NE) and the team stay healthy I think we could go at least 8-8, and if that is the case Fox is not gone. Firing your coach after 2-3 years is not the solution. Unless we pick top 1-13 next year I dont think Foxy is gone. Loggains will be if his offense sucks.
Also keep in mind theres no reason to believe next years QB class will be better than this years, or we have a top pick to select that guy. Watson was a clear #1 overall for the 2017 draft if you go one year back, but some talk about 2rd round now. Same thing can happen with the QB's in next years class. (A bit off-topic)
Sorry, Ted Bundy was a serial killer who was executed for his crimes and Charlie Manson was the master mind of some of the most brutal murders in US history. Those took place in 1969 and he's still in prison.
The most key injury Loggains had to deal with on offense was Cutlers but Fox didn't want him anymore anyway so Pace finally gave him his wish. Other than that I thought the offense remained fairly healthy. They were just poorly schemed and coached and to me that's on Fox and Loggains. Tucker had both talent and coaching issues and is back to coaching in college.
I will be shocked if this team can win 8 games with that schedule and even with 8 wins Fox would still be the second losingest Bears HC in history. We're talking about Jim Dooley (1968-71/.357) and Abe Gibron (1972-74/.268) bad. That's how long it's been since this team has been this poorly coached. Most feel even 5-6 wins will be a minor miracle unless Glennon has some hidden talents we've yet to see.
If an 8-8 season saves Fox's job Ryan Pace has no balls at all and he needs to go as well. That's my take on it.
If we were passing on an Andrew Luck or even a Marcus Mariotta this year I might agree but in a strong draft for QBs none of this years prospects would rank as highly as they do. They all come with major flaws and question marks and will need time and great coaching to develop. Fox has no time left to develop one and couldn't if he did. That's why we have Glennon now.
Pace will obviously do what he feels is best but I'm gonna stick by my thinking about it. Who we have is all we can deal with for now and furthermore it's what Fox wants. He has a young vet Pace claims can start and has upside and he has Sanchez as backup whose a small step up from a Jimmy Clausen or a Matt Barkley. Along with Shaw or a mid round draft pick like Peterman or an equivalent we can get though this year then do a coaching reset and have him evaluate what's needed at QB for his team.
Long played with an injury all season. White out for the season. Jeffery out for the majority of the games. Royal played what 1-3 games? Zach Miller out for 7 games. Those are just the top of my head, and then of course the Jay. I like to think of these players as core players, so it will effect the game.
You are right, theres no Luck in this class. But I recall last years draft people were also down on QB's perhaps not as much as this years, but Wentz look alright. Goff is another story.
My point is just that you never know how next years QB is going to look like. Watson was consensus the best QB doing this time of year for the 2017 draft, and because of the spotlight on him people have picked him apart - didnt help he didnt lift his game. But the same will probably happen for next years QB class.
With a good draft and a relative injury free season this team is at least 8-8. That defense has potential to be a helluva good one (If you add a player like Adams/Hooker or perhaps even one of the 2rd round safeties that plays just as well as Whitehair did in his rookie season)

But Long did play, as did AJ and Miller for at least part of the year and the guy who replaced him, Brown, looked pretty good at times. White? Pftttt, he couldn't run a route correctly when he was healthy and yet he's expected to replace AJ? Royal? Another guy with an albatross $10 mil guaranteed deal whose done jack since he arrived. Under Gase Cutler did better with the rag tag bunch he had to work with in 2016 than Hoyer or Barkley did with what they had. Hoyer seldom even threw to AJ and both he and Barkley played behind the best OL we've been able to field in about a decade.
So one out of the two top QB picks did just OK last year while the other got splinters in his ass playing behind a guy with mop up type #3 QB talent and these guys were supposedly higher ranked than this years group. That's not much of a selling job for me as far as spending #3 on a QB zif.
Like I said. I'm not even gonna worry about it. Que sera, sera. I'm actually more curious about whether he can or will trade down than who he picks. We need help in a lot of places so all I can hope for is he finds some guys like has has with Whitehair, Howard, and Floyd again this draft who can come in and play some good football.
