I can see Bears trade up into the first round around pick #28-32, if they think their guy is there, much like Vikings did, let alone for the reason to get a 5th year option. Not the mention if a QB should fall into the 2rd round, Browns and 49'ers will probably snatch them before us unless they take one with their first round pick.

That I could see although in my mind I'd probably wait til the 4th round if possible after he loads up on three prospective starters in the first three rounds. Unless we were to draft Watson or Trubisky our chances of getting a guy who isn't gonna need a whole lot of work and time to develop are slim. Even those two aren't ready to play now. My issue is whose gonna do it? Fox? Loggains?
So to me spending a high pick on a QB under those two would be like going out and buying a new Ferrari and then handing the keys to your 16 year old who learned to drive in a Honda Civic and just got his DL yesterday. Fox and Loggains = Trestman and Tucker. Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber

I disagree. While I dont trust Fox to develop a QB I still think he is a better coach than Trestman. Loggains yea I admit I have my doubts, and would prefer Gase as HC, but I still take Loggains over Tucker. Last year the whole team was decimated with injuries, this season is the truth telling season. If we have a healthy O and the O does not produce Loggains is hopefully gone.

To me that's like saying Ted Bundy was a better person than Charlies Manson zif. As for Loggains he coached the worst offense the Bears have had in recent memory while with Tucker it was the defense so pick your poison.
But my only point is why would a sharp GM spend his top picks on a QB for a guy whose likely to be gone next year and with him his OC? Between Glennon, Sanchez, Shaw, and a later draftee he can get through this season with two vets he believes won't be totally embarrassing and Shaw and the rookie battle it out for spot #3. We still don't know what we have in Shaw and a higher pick would probably bump him since Sanchez has a $1mil salary guarantee. Between that and Fox's insistence on having a vet #2 how would any top QB pick even get enough reps to develop much at all unless starters went down?
As much as I'd like to have that sparkling young future SB winner on the roster I still believe it's one year too soon and that 2017 would be a totally wasted year in his development. I think we should let the next HC pick his own QB and Pace has now set it up so that it's possible to do that.

Cant say something about the Ted Bundy and Charlies Manson as I have no clue as who they are I agree the offense was worse, but the offense also had way more injuries than Tucker. Tucker at least had healthy players, if our offense sucked balls without key players being injuried, I would have called for his arse too.
I am not so sure Fox is gone next season either. If Pace nails the draft similar to last years (all though you are bond to have bad drafts every now and then, even GB, NE) and the team stay healthy I think we could go at least 8-8, and if that is the case Fox is not gone. Firing your coach after 2-3 years is not the solution. Unless we pick top 1-13 next year I dont think Foxy is gone. Loggains will be if his offense sucks.
Also keep in mind theres no reason to believe next years QB class will be better than this years, or we have a top pick to select that guy. Watson was a clear #1 overall for the 2017 draft if you go one year back, but some talk about 2rd round now. Same thing can happen with the QB's in next years class. (A bit off-topic)

This board continues to enrich differest aspects of our lives as we learn more about our rich history.

Sorry, Ted Bundy was a serial killer who was executed for his crimes and Charlie Manson was the master mind of some of the most brutal murders in US history. Those took place in 1969 and he's still in prison.
The most key injury Loggains had to deal with on offense was Cutlers but Fox didn't want him anymore anyway so Pace finally gave him his wish. Other than that I thought the offense remained fairly healthy. They were just poorly schemed and coached and to me that's on Fox and Loggains. Tucker had both talent and coaching issues and is back to coaching in college.
I will be shocked if this team can win 8 games with that schedule and even with 8 wins Fox would still be the second losingest Bears HC in history. We're talking about Jim Dooley (1968-71/.357) and Abe Gibron (1972-74/.268) bad. That's how long it's been since this team has been this poorly coached. Most feel even 5-6 wins will be a minor miracle unless Glennon has some hidden talents we've yet to see.
If an 8-8 season saves Fox's job Ryan Pace has no balls at all and he needs to go as well. That's my take on it.
If we were passing on an Andrew Luck or even a Marcus Mariotta this year I might agree but in a strong draft for QBs none of this years prospects would rank as highly as they do. They all come with major flaws and question marks and will need time and great coaching to develop. Fox has no time left to develop one and couldn't if he did. That's why we have Glennon now.
Pace will obviously do what he feels is best but I'm gonna stick by my thinking about it. Who we have is all we can deal with for now and furthermore it's what Fox wants. He has a young vet Pace claims can start and has upside and he has Sanchez as backup whose a small step up from a Jimmy Clausen or a Matt Barkley. Along with Shaw or a mid round draft pick like Peterman or an equivalent we can get though this year then do a coaching reset and have him evaluate what's needed at QB for his team.

Well at least crafty old Charlie is still among us while Bundy "rode the lightening" many years ago and is now giving the devil pedicures. LOLOL
