The guy is a beast. They have him listed at 6'4" and 272lbs. He was recruited at Michigan State for football and basketball both, but after his freshman year decided to focus on football. He just turned 26 last month, so he's a young guy.
The idea that this guy is only a blocker seems off. now obviously these are highlights, but they give you a hink that this guy can be part of the passing game.
The kid looks to have a pretty nice set of hands. Some guys get typecast with the first team out of college just because of the learning curve and playing second fiddle to someone already in place. This kid may have more promise as a threat than he's given credit for.
Not quite quick enough, but ya he could be that 2 way TE that the team lost when they got rid of Marty B
That was my thinking too. We lost someone special when Marty B left. This guy isn't Marty, but he's at least a guy who can block and catch as needed. I like that he is young too. And he should be fun to watch if he trucks some people after the catch.
