throwing 40 times when 15-20 are flanking LOS passes is fine. it's NOT running when it's working that's the problem. O should attack D and find exploits. if that means you pass 60 times and run once, idgf.
no proven WR, hope Glennon gets plenty of work with his receiving group so they play with timing week one.
I think Tragic is as close to right as anything. I think you employ an offense to defeat the Defense and if that is the case, then the type of offense we run will change from week to week. I want no part of a one dimensional offense that depends too heavily on either the run or the pass; take what the Defense gives you and ram it down their throats with whatever they are weakest defending. I think our offense should and will be predicated on weekly game planning based on the opponent.
With all that said, I may be in the minority, but I really enjoy a good smash mouth running game for my team. I'm old school; I enjoy a good aerial attack as much as anyone, but there is a special kind of satisfaction I get watching my team just run roughshod over a defense that has no answer. Maybe the individual plays aren't as exciting, but at the end of a 13 play drive when you pound it down their throat to score, there is a cool feeling of dominance that you get watching that.

i like run game too, particularly as it keeps your D fresh and wears out their DL.
