Should be Prince, Cooper, and Fuller battling it out for 2 starting spots at outside CB. Callahan and LeBlanc for the slot position. Add a draft pick plus Porter (who I expect will end being cut) plus Hall plus Banks and that's some good competition. Please dump McMannis--he sucks.

McMannis is a first rate ST, dont want to lose him, only if these young guys can take his place
I can't wait for the draft. Pace can truly go BPA now. The final roster should be pretty solid. Our depth should be a lot better overall too. I'm excited for the Mike Glennon era to begin. I was so ready for Cutler to go.
I think that was the logic with bringing Mike Glennon, go after the BPA. As for Cutler, I'm glad he is gone.

Amukamara - if he can stay healthy (and that's a big IF), he's a damn fine CB, still young, could be a steal Cooper - really wanted this guy, was part of a great secondary in AZ Banks - glad we were able to re-sign him, solid depth, looked good in Tampa
I'm also looking forward to watching Hall and LeBlanc in their second year. Was really excited about the Hall pick last year.
Believe it or not, it is a much better secondary than the one we had just a few days ago.

That is if you buy that we have our franchise QB. Then yes, that would be a true statement.
I look at it this way. Glennon could be that guy, but even if he isn't, I see him as an upgrade over Jay Cutler for the team. Not because he has Cutler's arm, but because he seems like a smart young player who will protect the ball better than Jay - and he is better than the Hoyer's, Fales, and Barkley types we've had. This seems to be a QB draft where no QB is going to be ready to start day-1... or at least shouldn't be starting day-1. I hope Pace drafts a quality young prospect in this draft who can be groomed to be the eventual starter if Glennon is not a franchise QB.
Pace has definitely done well in free agency. He can pretty much go BPA in this draft now. The roster this fall should be pretty darned solid - both with starters and with better depth quality (so that when the inevitable injuries happen, the team can still be pretty solid).

Yeah but he sucks on D and I hope we have enough depth at the position by the time September rolls around that we don't have better all-around options.

That's pretty neat.
Jake Perper‏@bearsbacker So for the price of AJ Bouye ($13.5 mill AVG) or Stephon Gilmore ($13 mill AVG), the #Bears signed Amukamara and Cooper for 12.5 total per.
