I see it that way also. My hope though, is that the rookie QB will be a 2nd round pick and not just another Enderle, Lafevour, Fales type of pick. There are 3 or 4 solid QBs in this draft and one could fall to us in that early 2nd round. That guy will probably need time to transition to the NFL, and it makes sense to have a guy like Glennon starting while the youngster is developing. I am okay with that. And I think that could VERY well happen and a guy like Kizer/Turbisky/Watson/Mahomes end up available to us in that 2nd round. If not, then go for the second-tier QBs, Peterman or Webb. After those two guys, the talent seems to drop to the third-tier guys. Maybe Kaaya could be in that second-tier too... I don't know. But you get my point. I'm hoping the Bears go aggressively after a QB in the draft, even if they do sign Glennon.
JABF, lets also not forget there's a chance Pace may be able to trade down from #3 a bit and get extra ammo to move back into the late 1st with the #36 pick. There's value in that because the 5th year option is particularly useful with QBs since theyre so expensive. That's what Minny did with Teddy B a few years ago and it looked like a genius move until he went down with that freak injury in practice last year.
+1 I do feel pretty good about Pace adding some serious talent this off-season. I really do. It's going to be interesting to watch it all unfold.

I would love to see them fall back into the top 10 a little, still get a DB there, and then get an extra 2nd or 3rd that they could use to jump back into the first IF one of the top 3 qb's does fall.
Not a Minny fan, but I do feel terrible for their team, and Teddy B-side b/c of how that went down. To do that kind of damage w/out getting touched is just insane.
Ric, my dream scenario here is for Pace to trade down from #3 to 6-12 approx. You're still get top-tier talent there, especially at DB with this deep class, and you would get an extra 2nd-3rd bare minimum to move back up into the late-1st from #36. Obviously a lot of pieces have to fall into place to make that happen but it has been done before.

Really just need enough to possibly move in front of KC and Pitt b/c both could be in the market for qb's.
