What the Bears and Jets fans should know about Mike Glennon

You are right British. Im willing to give him a chance, im not so sure hes a bottom dweller like few suggest.

The article seemed a little biased to me. His record was 5-13 and the only things he talked about were three games that he did well in. it seems that in most of his games he must not have done so well or his record would not have been 5-13. Also, they felt they had to go to the draft to get someone better. I think there is much more to the story than this article. I don't think much of him, but hell you always want to be wrong about that if they guy is a Bear.

Did you read the part where they lost their OC before the season and had a guy that only has (other then that year) coached in college? 
Go look at the teams he played on, Vincent Jackson, no rb, no wr, no te, and an OL so bad that Cutler would be familiar behind it. Now those were excuses given to Cutler for years, and i've often refuted them, but this was a rookie, not a vet, and eventually the issue is the qb not everyone else. Problem is Glennon has not had multiple shots. So the questions becomes what the ceiling what is the floor; and can he reach the ceiling and raise the floor? Unlike a guy like Cutler or Hoyer, that question hasn't been answered so he's worht the risk. 

The being benched for Lovie thing that people talk about, in his introductory press conference he said that McCown was going to be the starter, it wasn't earned, there was no competition, it was Lovie being Lovie. There was never an option of Glennon. Now some might say that is an inditement on Glennon, imo that is an inditement on Lovie, and why he was fired from Chicago, and why he didn't last 3 years in TB.

They didn't feel they had to go and get someone better, they had the oppertunity to go and get someone better and they did. Winston is obviously a better qb and they made the right choise. And again, I don't buy that the Bears think this is going to be their future qb,  this is a bridge so they don't have to over draft and can go bpa(although I disagree w/it, i think @3 it's garrett, watson, kizer) in the first few rounds and grab a qb that might need 1-2 years, like Peterman or Webb. 

Well again no one is saying he's Manning, was 3 and 13, guess the bears shouldn't have tried to sign him if the colts had given up on him after 16 games? Rogers was 6-10 his first 16 games also.

Bet you don't remember that early on Big Ben was considered a qb that couldn't win if he had to pass more then 30 times a game; that he was just a guy that had to rely on a strong def and run game.

Drew Brees was let go b/c he wasn't a winner for SD and they drafted their future qb also. Think SD would rethink that now? That shoulder injury was just a convenient excsuse for them to cut him. 

Sometimes even the best qb's need a small amount of talent and time to develop; and NO ONE is saying that Glennon is the best of qb's. He's not elite, he's not a franchise qb; but he's going to get a shot to showcase what he can do while a rookie qb sits and learns, and there is a ceiling.
