Cutler makes sense in San Francisco.ESPN Senior writer John Clayton explains the 49ers' pursuit of Jay Cutler wouldn't be surprising given this year's group of free agent quarterbacks.
i agree with Clayton here, but they aren't going to give us much as the league thinks the cut is inevitable.
True, but one things have in their favor is that they do not have to cut Cutler. If they had to trade or cut him in order to get below cap then they'd be back in a corner but they're not which is good.

Any team interested in him better not let him get cut. Cutler's contract has little or no guaranteed money on it (I forget which). For a QB it's a very reasonable cost. They would have to negotiate a new deal if he becomes an FA which would likely require more guaranteed money to sign.
If the Bears do want to move on from Cutler I would be very surprised if they didn't trade him to get something from letting him go.
Signalling you're going to cut someone doesn't mean a trade won't happen. New Orleans was going to cut Darren Sproles when several teams inquired about a trade before he was released. NO ended up getting a 5th round pick out of that.
Might seem high but where else will you find a QB with Cutler's contract and experience vs a rookie who will need years to develop.
Just posted an article from Emma at 670, they'll be getting a late round pick at best, every team that could trade for him knows the Bears will release him also, there is no future in Chicago w/Cutler.
If a team were smart and really wanted Cutler they would trade for him now instead of waiting for him to be released. Cutler's contract is perfect right now with no guaranteed money and goes till 2020. If he's released they'll have to sign him to a new contract with guaranteed money.
