I saw a few people were projecting $12 million average annual value. Looks like he took a bit lower but got a good guaranteed amount. I read it was 9th highest salary for a guard. Not bad.

A few months ago I wrote that he would likely cost $10-12m AAV based on Zach Martin (4 time All-Pro) getting about $14m. So, locking down Whitehair for 5 years at $10.5m AAV is a pretty team friendly deal.

Giving him a bit extra guaranteed as a sweetener is a wise move as Whitehair is young and has been very durable.
We now have 3 interior OL that play guard or center.
Not saying I want to see him playing OT in the NFL. But in college he played both RT and LT as was either first or second team all Big12 at both positions. IMO one of the most versatile OL we've seen for a while.

Yeah Hub said something about that. Said basically he can also do Tackle in an emergency if needed.
