Anyone find it strange that there’s been zero information or coverage of Cowards injury or condition?
Bars was quite the get, thanks HH. He looks like he should have been drafted, I’ve seen much weaker play from the vast majority of the 40 OL chosen this year.
Just that it was an elbow injury. Good luck getting any of that info from Halas Hall, and I’m one of the seemingly few proud about that fact and the way we handle injuries in-house to media. I’m pretty bummed we didn’t get to see him Saturday, but I’m hoping Coward can go this week. His length and movement skills are impressive. Maybe it’s for the best he gets PS time to continue to develop technique to catch up to his skills.

Re: Coward Yeah I get why HH is tight-lipped to the media but I'm starting to wonder if the injury is worse that we think. He didn't play in the 3rd game so I sure hope he can go in the 4th. I agree he seems to be an impressive athlete but I thought he looked rough in the 1st 2 PS games. Just looking for reassurance I guess that A) he's not badly hurt and B) that he can play and look solid in the last tuneup game.
Re: Bars IIRC, many felt like he would have been a ~ 4th round pick had he not had gotten hurt during his senior year. I agree he's looked good in the PS and be a shoo-in for a roster spot. TBH, he's the only Bears backup OL who has consistently looked good this PS IMO. I was a little disappointed in Coward which is why I'd like to see him put those concerns to rest on Thursday.

As I recall from watching the Giants game, Coward was blocking someone and his left arm was being used to hold off the defender and one of our buys came in (was pushed in??0 and hit the outside of Coward's left elbow. If his elbow was pushed in (against the natural way it is designed to move), it could be a pretty nasty injury and he could be down for a while.
