We know this, but it's still pretty cool to consider what Ryan Pace accomplished here. The Raiders ended up with a 24th pick in the draft (and probably something similar to that next draft). They turned down the Packers offer thinking their draft position would be higher than the Bears, but when the season ended the Packers had the #12 pick of the draft.
As we enter this 2019 season, our D is so stacked, especially with Mack on the roster. Can you imagine how this would have played out if the Packers had won the Mack trade and we would have faced him twice each season? Pace hit a home run here with this one. Can't wait to watch this year's defense in general, and against the Green Bay Packers in particular. I hope the D buries Aaron Rodgers early and often into the Soldier Field turf in that September opener.

Not only did the Bears acquire one of the best (if not the best) defensive players in football, but:
-Their trade package was highlighted by what should be two late first round picks (assuming the Bears remain a playoff team in 2019), and
-Acquiring Mack kept him out of Green Bay.
Talk about absolutely winning a deal.
