IMO if we had decided to play in the negotiations with Gould, he would have just used us as a bargaining chip.

+1 That's my gut feeling too, Ric. And I can't blame him for going after a good deal. We hear all the time about it being a business. This is just an example of that.

Since Pace made a yuge mistake with a certain kicker last year, he is not going to go down that route again. I agree, we can get someone young. Besides, I remember on how many people wanted to get rid of Gould cause he wasn't doing good during his last years as a Bear player.
