The one position that has evaded Ryan Pace' fixing is the kicker position. But that is light-years from making our off season the worst in the entire NFL. Talk about over-the-top exaggeration. But yes, it is a problem that has not been fixed yet. In recent years Pace has tried to fix it, and he continues to try. He's had 8 kickers here in the off-season this year, and two of them have hit 40-45 yard field goals in practice. It's a start.
I do hope one of these guys turns out decent and is "The Guy" to kick for us (and kick well) this season. Worst case I figure the team just goes for more 4th down tries. I do think we will see that if we have another "crap the bed" kicker this year. Hopefully though, Pace gets it fixed and we don't have to go into the season with a bum kicker.
know what, I'm not even mad. let him talk. bears are better now then they ever could have been under fox. I'm quite content to let it all blow by and wait for the season to start.

Fry is a borderline prospect that has performed in college and minor leagues. Pineiro was a legit prospect coming out of UF that was an injury away from starting. In terms of what's available, Pace and co look like they are doing good. It was under Fox that we let an expensive Gould walk.

Last year he brought in a guy who was top 10 in the position that prior season...it didn't work out. He tried that route, lets see if this route works.
