If Robbie is an exclusive franchise tagged player, he can't even negotiate with another team. If he's non-exclusive tagged then it requires two first round draft picks PLUS the Bears paying the guy what he wants. Like that is gonna happen. LOL.
And c'mon. No team is gonna let their franchise tag player depart for a 7th round draft pick. They will let the guy rot watching the 2019 season on his couch at home before they do anything like that. You can't set a precedent where a franchise player dictates to the team what they want. If I were the 49ers I'd make Gould the poster boy for the future players - don't even think of pulling something like this.
I guess you like having kickers like Parkey's as Kickers?
We were one Gould away from a Super Bowl...
You realize there's a great deal of middle ground between A) Parkey-fail and Z) desperately overpaying for an aging Gould when we have neither the draft capital or cap space to do so, right?
There's a lot of other letters in the alphabet between those two.
Let's give them a third round pick and finally have a real kicker on this team.
Dear Christ I’m happy you have no control over how the Bears are run.
49ers are over a barrel, now. Give them a 2020 6th and ask for a 7th in return.
Exactly ^^^^. Genius Boy John Lynch really screwed this up.
I'm really not particularly interested in Gould but if Pace is, offer them no more than a token in trade and I wouldn't even do that unless Gould agreed to a very team friendly contract concurrently. I'm not paying him FT-money.

Can you name me another kicker who is 82-85 since 2016?
His age is irreverent to most other positions. He's one of the best in the game and is a clear upgrade over most kickers in the league.
