I've been scanning everywhere to find anything from Nagy delivering the commencement speech at the U of Delaware graduation a week or so ago. I just found this one. I really love this guy as our HC.
Cody Parkey, Bears- Parkey had signed a four year, $15 million contract with the Bears in 2018 and only lasted one season with the double doink game in the playoffs sealing his fate. I have conflicting numbers on Parkey’s dead money for this season and the team will save anywhere from $0 to $2 million. Right now I will go with the worst case, which has been the most widely reported number, of no savings. Parkey will count for $1.125 million in cap room next season. Of all the post June 1 cuts this one made the least financial sense since the loss was negligible so perhaps the Bears anticipated a worse cap scenario than what they ended up with. Parkey is still searching for a job.

I've started following Nick Petro on twitter. He is the editor-in-chief over at theloopsports.com and put together the following set of tweets on Cordarrelle Patterson. I think you could argue that we swapped Josh Bellamy for this guy. And if that is true, we just got a HUGE upgrade at that position (Special Teams ace who can also play skill positions on the offense).
You have click on the tweet and go through the entire chain. I think there are 12 tweets in all.

Chuck Pagano's presser at the end of yesterday's practice.
So, it will be interesting to see how his defensive "system" is different than Fangio's. He says they worked together in Baltimore, and so there are areas of overlap. I say, "If it ain't broke, don't try to "fix" it".

Delawares graduation was yesterday. My God son was one of the graduates...it was awesome!

One word...PRESSURE!!
I'm excited. I'm thinking we won't see the true product until the regular season, so I'm not going to get too worked up (either way) when we see it in the Pre-season games. The first true showcase of the D will be in that first game where we open against Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers offense. AR can get the ball out so fast when he wants to, and can be lethal getting the ball out before the rush (even a solid pass rush) can get to him. If the new Bears D can contain Rodgers and the Bears win that opener, that will be huge. Big test in that 1st game.

That was one of the things that always amazed me with Rodgers...his ability to get that ball out in an instant. He's one of the best at it.
